WESTconsin Credit Union Donates Over $12,300 to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals

WESTERN, WI—WESTconsin Credit Union is proud to announce a donation of more than $12,300 to local Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals, supporting life-saving treatments, innovative research, and critical financial assistance for families receiving care at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI, and Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul, MN. These donations are the result of the credit union’s annual Hearts of Hope fundraiser held in February, along with proceeds from World’s Finest Chocolate Bar sales last fall.

Since 2002, WESTconsin Credit Union has donated more than $350,000 to CMN Hospitals through these initiatives. The funds raised not only support advanced medical care and research, but also provide transportation assistance, medical equipment, specialty camps, and other essential services for children and their families.

WESTconsin’s efforts are part of the broader Credit Unions for Kids (CU4Kids) initiative, a nationwide collaboration of credit unions, chapters, leagues, associations, and business partners who come together to raise funds for the 170 CMN Hospitals across the country. Since its inception in 1996, CU4Kids has raised more than $165 million, making it the fifth-largest donor to CMN Hospitals.

WESTconsin Credit Union has been serving members since 1939, and membership is open to anyone who lives or works in the Wisconsin counties of Barron, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Rusk, St. Croix, Sawyer, Taylor, Trempealeau, and Washburn, or the Minnesota counties of Anoka, Chisago, Dakota, Goodhue, Hennepin, Isanti, Pine, Ramsey, Scott, Wabasha, and Washington, with a $5 minimum deposit in a Membership Savings Account. Credit unions are financial institutions owned by their accountholders, and member funds are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) up to at least $250,000.
